Comments: Spoken and emailed to Mr Ong Ah Si, Senior Property Officer of AMK-Yishun Town Council. From what I understand culling will not go ahead as full survey need to be conducted between the council, the residents and cats association. Lets put our heads together and contribute in action. However we also need to find out if real cullings has been made in other parts of Singapore and if it is evident that sterilised cats has been culled as well, we may need to speak to the president of this country.

Comments: Please do not kill the innocent creatures. Rather educate the public and save the animals by sending them to a shelter. People will adopt them. Not everyone is irresponsible.

Comments: These cats are sterilised and taken care of so they will not pose a problem to the community. Let them live out their lives naturally. Do not look for sin by killing these innocent cats. We have no right to take their lives. Leave them alone and they will not bother anyone.

Comments: When can our country stop placing blames on the defenless strays for whatever happened. Why can't our country treat them like how lives should be treated. Culling are just short cuts that will never solve any problem. So, for whatever gods' sake , please stop all these senseless killing of innocent lives in our country.

Comments: cats are territorial. cull them and more will come from other places. town councils should really try more effective methods instead of wasting resources on short-term (n useless) PR exercises like this.

Comments: We human got enough space to stay and got our home to go back to, so why can't we leave some space for the little animals. I know some people doesn't like cats, but there are also many who love them. Human cause more harm to the environment than these innocent animals, why don't Yishun town council go do some education to these people and leave the cats alone

Comments: I am very disturbed by the town council's plan to round up sterilized community cats for culling. I do not understand the need for such an exercise, especially if they are also targetting sterilized community cats. The fact that they are sterilized means that there are active and responsible care givers in those areas who are tending to their welfare and also to keep their population under control. I wish that the town council can clarify the following : 1) Why are they embarking on this exercise. 2) Why are public funds used for such a purpose when welfare of the community cats and control of their population are being financed by volunteer care givers. 3) Has the office approached the care givers or other animal welfare groups to understand the situation

Comments: This is not the way forward to a gracious society!!! These culling are usually caused by the complaints of some idiots with low tolerance level. These insane acts are spreading the wrong messages especially when the animal abusers are only given months in imprisonment, while culling action is taken with just the slightest of complaints. This is outrageous and unacceptable.
