Recently, Forbes announced that the Chicago Cubs organization was the most 'profitable' last year, and the 4th highest valued franchise in MLB at over 1 billion dollars. As a die-hard fan of the team for many years, I am disheartened by the disregard that is being given to the fans of this storied sports franchise by the lack of qualified talent with regards to the Major League product. It was further reported, that the Cubs made 'political contributions' in 2012 of 12M, more then all other MLB organizations combined...So, it appears they have resouces to, & can spend their money when they choose.  The Ricketts Family, led by Tom Ricketts, Chairman, (and father Joe) have found a cash cow on the north side, and plan on milking it with no apparent interest in fielding a competitive team anytime soon. To make matter worse, the organization charges a premium ticket price for the previlege of seeing possibly the worst team in baseball.

Until the fan base stands up for itself, & demands (with their wallets & time) a team worthy of our support, we will endure miserable summers for the foreseeable future. Not in 2016, do we look for relief, but now, before another Old Style is sold. Only when Wrigley Field seats are empty, hats go unsold, and TV viewers turn off CSN/WGN will change start.  That is our power...  We, as fans, have endured losers and winners over the years, but at no point in the past could one have considered that the organization was deceptive in it's relationship towards the fans. We are being sold a sub standard-defective product, & despite the Ricketts Family's fan friendly impressions, we need to call this what it really is.... BS, & we won't stand (or sit) for it any longer.
