Steve Butterworth | Another disgraceful act by the money making banks
Anonymous | Rediculous & totally unfair.
Kevin Savory | Although I can understand why the banks do this, It dosn't help our clubs when, we has supporters, buy our season tickets early to help the manager out with finances for new players, and the banks do not pass on the money. It defeats the object .
JOHN INGHAM |
Derek Howorth | Is this practice lawful? Perhaps the OFT could rule.
Matt Quinton | The Banks making money by witholding cash, so needed by the smaller clubs to survive. Maybe they're trying to help them not complete their fixtures. UTM, GTFC
ken | just another way for banks to make money. I assume that the money is charged to the cardholder immediatley. surley by not passing it on is illegal
Pauline Pratley | Like most people, I suspect, I was unaware of this situation until recently. Thanks for bringing it to light. It's very unfair and I hope it can be rectified.
Patrick O'Neill | This is deceitful and scandalous. Perhaps the banks should only take payment in installments.

Carol Pike |
Colin Morgan | It is the law that needs changed. It allows people to claim all there money back from card issuers.

| 176 | Stephen Bell | Typical of the society of which we are becoming. Who do the Banks think they are if I pay with my card (whichever) then the so called honorable Banks should honor my wishes, without question.
Food for thought "Does the Banks pay interest on the Monies they are withholding from the football Clubs?" |
brian grice | I found out about this after I had paid by credit card at the start of the ticket sales for the 2006/2007 season.I immediately sent a cheque for the full amount and cancelled my credit card payment to enable the club to use the money straight away
Kevin Maxfield | This is typical banks. They still think they are Dick Turpin. I hope they pay interest on the monies witheld.

Richard Allsopp | Being a Cheltenham Town Season Ticket holder, I was unaware of this issue. The current procedures should be amended for the season 2007/2008, so that all clubs can benefit from their supporter's monies ASAP, especially those clubs that rely heavily on season tickets to support them, such as my club Cheltenham Town.
