Open Call for Citizen Action
This is an open call requesting the state to reform the institution of the Cyprus Tourism Organisation
We would like encourage for people to express their opinions and support for a reform of the organisation responsible for managing Tourism promotion in Cyprus.
It is our belief that Cyprus Tourism stakeholders can no longer effectively work and properly establish investment priorities with the Cyprus Tourism Organisation openly passing-on responsibilities to the sector without assuming its own deficiencies.
We would like to invite you to participate in an open call welcoming reform of an institution so that it can better fulfill serve the future of an industry and its services to the general public.
As business owners and citizens linked to the travel and tourism industry of Cyprus, we have found encouragement also from the words expressed by CTO board Chairman Alekos Oroundiotis at the event organised by STEK, calling business owners, "to take on their fair share of the responsibility in helping the sector."
In the execise of this responsability, citizens, tourism stakeholders and business owners are called upon to sign this petition in favor of demanding reform to highest instances of the state, ministries of Commerce, Industry and Tourism and the proper President Christofias which attended last week the the Association of Cyprus Tourist Enterprises (STEK).
For further interest we invite you to read the article re-published here in the blog attached.
The petition will remain open for a period of 4 months upon which it will be submitted to the corresponding authorities above mentioned.
Thanking you in advance.
