Comments: The Church, at times, treats women and others like we are children, like we have no discerning sense...as if there would be some material that would need some declassification from us in what women and other minorities have to say.

Comments: The days of "pay, pray, and obey" are over. Vatican II stated that the Church is the People of God. We have voices and the right to use those voices without censorship, without threat. The Church does not belong to the bishops!

Comments: Actually, no Bishop can silence the women of the Church. They will continue to find a way to be heard - the stones themselves will cry out. Thank you, Edwina, for standing firm on your committment and dedication not allowing the Bishop to censor your thoughts and inspirations. Can he censor Spirit I don't think so, even though he try.

Comments: I totally support Edwina Gateley as well as take issue with Bishop Olmsted's actions. As a lifelong Catholic(73 yrs old) I am fed up with the actions of the Catholic hierarchy. It is no wonder the Church historically has been a foe of democracy.

We must push forward and let our voices cry out for the freedom and truth in our chuch and not let it be squelched by the Hiracey for the Church and Male dominate Leadership of our church. Ann Palm

Comments: Three Cheers for Edwina's courageous stance.!She is doing what Pope Benedict has called the church to do---give women spiritual space to celebrate the sacred feminine. Bishop Olmsted is out of step with Pope Benedict who said that "women with their spiritual potential, will know how how to find their place. And we should try to listen to God that we do not obstruct...but that we delight in the feminine in the church."

Comments: The Catholic Church is at the fore front of social justice. How can a leader in the Church support such an unjust act as allowing freedom of speech. He needs to be removed.
