Name: Addie Corn on Aug 14, 2010Comments: As far as I'm concerned, it's the people that are spreading these vicious rumors and falsehoods about the Muslin community that we have to watch out for! THEY are the people that are trying to spread fear, hate and bigotry and trying to pound into the heads of people that ALL MUSLIMS ARE EVIL! We HAVE TO STOP THIS IN IT'S TRACKS! OH, how VERY unChristian of them! This is all very despicable!Flag

Name: Katharine Dawson, Ph.d. on Aug 14, 2010Comments: "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone." It is difficult to find a religion that has not been used to justify a political/economic cause by ethnic or national leaders. So U.S. citizens, who burn to exorcise Muslims and Islam from their nation, should take a closer look at their country's history and their own origins. They may find a very dark side in U.S. history. They may also discover that their own ancestors were pilloried for their religion and/or national origins. In the 1920's the caption on one issue of the American Legion's magazine exhorted readers to "Refuse the refuse!" In this case, the refuse, or garbage, included immigrants from Italy and eastern Europe who were either Roman Catholic, Russian or Greek Orthodox, or Jewish. One could say too that "patriotism" is a form of secular religion. I myself am without religion and envy those who are in the embrace of a religious or distinct secular community. I acknowledge, sadly, that there have been times in my life when I have pointed a finger, if only silently, at the "other," because of perceived threats. Banding together in fear, bigots jeopardize the equanimity, if not the very lives, of their target population. This recent anti-Muslim focus has alarmed me and I am very grateful to have the opportunity to join against this cruel attack on Muslims in this country.Flag

Name: Joe Friendly on Aug 15, 2010Comments: The Christian opposition to building a Mosque in Manhattan near Ground Zero is disgraceful. Too bad the 911 Big Lie has not yet been exposed, that it was Cheney, Rumsfeld, Zelikow who arranged for controlled demolition of the World Trade Center so they could shock and awe the American people into accepting a Police State and needless, criminal wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Scientists' finding nano-thermite spray particles in all 911 dust samples is the smoking gun proving it was controlled demolition.Flag

I do not think that hate speech should be permitted on the internet and this should be investigated, along with the Censorship being practiced at the behest of one religion.Flag
