In April 2006 Andrew Gaudin of Goderich, Ontario pleaded guilty to animal cruelty. He was charged on September 11, 2006. There were photographs showing a cat with white markings beaten and bludgeoned in the face. There were other photographs showing him holding the cat up in the air by its head, and upside down by its hind legs. With a cord tied around its neck with with excuding from the cats mouth and nose. He was sentenced to 6 months in jail with 2 years probation and 2 years probation upon release from owning or having the cutstody or control of an animal. I am appaled with his sentence for causing this animal so much pain for no reason. These animals cant speak for themselves and with these laws in place, people are getting away with these crimes with a slap on the wrist. Changes have not been made in 114 years. Its time to stop these abuse cases from happening, With higher fines and longer jail sentences. If you cant get away with the slaughter of an human being, why can you get away with the slaughter of an animal
