Barrow Borough Council in their wisdom have decided not to replace the crossing guard on Oxford Street Barrow-in-Furness,opposite Victoria Infant and nursery school.The council has decided it is more important to save money than to think of the safety of the children who have to cross a very busy road at numerous times of the day.Children of all ages cross the road and it is only a matter of time before somebody is injured,possibly fatally.Our aim is to protect our children and for the council to realise that sometimes cost cutting is not the answer.
