Name: Klaas on Nov 11, 2009Comments: This terrible med should be abandoned, it has destroyed so many lives! I barely survived a cold turkey, no support from the doctor who still insists this is a safe med... how much pays GSK to keep this myth alive Seroxat withdrawal is the scariest experience one could ever imagine and worse than any illegal street drug.Flag

Name: Alex Hunt on Nov 14, 2009Comments: i have taken seroxat for many years, since 1997 - I was told it was not addictive, had no side effects and was perfectly safe. Since then I have suffered withdrawl, have come close to suicide having recently stopped taking seroxat, and have suffered numerous side effects from insomnia to erectile dysfunction to hyperhidrosis. I was not warned of any of these when I first began taking the drug, and now my doctor has changed me onto citalopram which seems to suit me better. Drug companies make huge profits from the suffering of others - many of the drugs they produce have incredible life saving properties, however in the case of SSRIs they have been creaming profits from a section of society which is already incredibly vulnerable - the depressed and anxious. They have done this while fighting to maintain claims that SSRIs have no side effects. The only way to make these companies wake up and take notice not just at profits but the moral duty that drug companies have - the treatment of people, is to penalise them financially.Flag

Doctors also need to be held accountable for not informing their patients about the serious problems with this drug as they have come to light...Flag
