We the undersigned do hereby support the establishment of the NASW-CA Council of Gender Therapists & Educators. The purpose of the council is to build a network of caring professionals dedicated to advocating for social and personal advancements for transsexual, transgender and gender variant individuals in California. The council will be charged with advancing scholarship, conducting in-service training, providing educational resources, gathering and disseminating current standards of care, brokering resources, and advocating for trans* visibility, awareness and inclusivity in the social service, criminal justice, healthcare, education and additional professional sectors.
