Comments: We used to have a Cracker at the So Charleston Union Carbide Plant and also a Polyethylene Unit and Ethylene Oxide and Derivatives Unit for which all the Raw Materials come from the Ethylene Cracker. All these units ran very well and with no problems. If a Polyethylene units is built, either Low Density or High Density Polyethylene or both, neither would be a safety problem because they would be Low Pressure Unipol Units and they are both very safe Units to run. Much safer than the old High Pressure LD Polyethylene Units which were running before at the South Charleston Plant.
