Billy WilliamsYes, I believe that sprint can and should make advances in this area. I believe that they just do not know how to go about it. I am totally blind, and am trying to figure out how to obtain the finances to get an accessible phone.
Dennis SimsMy greatest concern is (we as a blind group of people fail to stand up for advancement and opportunity.) Let us force Sprint (Ie) any other company,) who fails to hear our plea, suffer the loss of our dollars. In conclusion, it is a must for Sprint P.C.S to reacquire the lead in technology, not only for main stream customers, but for customers whom have special needs. As you very well know, other companies are making great strives and they are accommodating the blind community. I as well as many others visually impaired individual(s) are asking for reasonable accommodation. This request for opportunity does not exclude fair plans, volunteered service and equal employment. We as physically challenged individuals are intelligent, well spoken and very much capable. In essence, my supplication is we like to be addressed, heard, and understood. Dennis L. Sims

Angela StarksI have been a sprint customer for over 5 years and I think it is time for sprint to take an active roll in accommodating the visual impaired. If they fail to do so, we should redirect our revenue.
Lapundra Harris Previous Sprint customerI was a sprint customer and I crossed over to Cigular, because of blind accessible.

margie heardI am visually impaired; live off a fixed income and cannot afford to pay for the software to be put on the phone. Of course, the talking software on the phone will be a tremendous help to me as I won't have to rely upon others to help me with the different techniques. I will be able to download, tex and do other technical things with the talking software. i have been a customer with sprint for a number years; enjoy the service and always enjoy talking to custer service; would like to see this company get this software so that i can remain with the sprint company.

AnonymousThere are many blind and visually impaired people who truly need their cell phones, and there should be a law that states all phone should be equally accessible for "everyone". Just my thoughts.

Linda T. ColemanI indeed think that this should be a mandatory thing for all Cell phone services. My daughter has been a Sprint user for 5+ years, this new service would enhance her usuage of the cell. I think its time for Sprint to step up to the plate and upgrade, after all, we live in a world that is high tech driven. So, how about it Sprint, are you going to be left behind? There are millions & millions of visually impaired people out there who work hard for their money, are you prepared to loose all that business? Please help those wonderful people out, Thanks big guys, A visually impaired woman's mother, Linda

Kareem NisbettHi my name is Kareem Nisbett and I am a sprint customer and I am a totally blind indivisual. I would like to see sprint come out with new phones with speech access. I think that it is important for every blind person to learn how to use the phone with out having to ask a sighted person for help.
stephanie simsi think that ther should be more phone made for the visual impaired. there are phones for the deaf but not for the blind.
Janice CrosbySprint/Nextel customer

Matthew CarelloSprint needs to put out a phone that is usable for the blind. They have TTY for the deaf but nothing for the blind. this is so wrong.
Victor HunterIt is my opinion that accessibility should not be denied anyone with disability, especially in instances when such accessibility is not within the realm of possibility. Therefore, I feel that if Sprint is not providing the software on the grounds that it is not cost effective, they might want to rethink their position.
Eric ForemanGiven the longevity of Sprint PCS; it makes no since to me that they not want to be ahead of the game or provide some Type of assistance or equivalent opportunities for customers as other cell phone carriers have done for persons with disabilities.
terre griffinI really think that Sprint should have a speech software for thee visually impaired so they can access their fhone features. I have been a loyal custurmer of sprint. Please do this for the blind. If I have to I will go with ssingular, who has stepped up to the plate.
Kina Houseri toltall agree and stand behind this petition.
Crystal LaneI am currently a Sprint customer and have been since year 2001. I also am totally blind and would like to see Sprint step to the plate and make some accomodations or the blind with these phones. It is already hard being on a fixed incom, and with the phone and software for this type phone being so costly it is hard for alot of us blind individuals to pay that. We too would like to be caught up with everyone else.
