Name: Nicholas Labash on Mar 5, 2008Comments: Why is it that we always have to destroy landmarks for more condos and strip malls With this kind of thinking there would be no Pyramids, Leaning Tower of Pisa, Eiffel Tower and so on. Even the name is a classic in this age of corporate sponsored names of stadiums and arenas. I watched Roy Shire's great wrestling shows in the 60s. The Warriors called it home and fittingly won the NBA Championship there even as they resided in Oakland. And the concerts there were legendary with the Dave Clark 5, Beach Boys, Rod Stwart, etc. It isn't sitting there dormant. It is still used for car shows and sports card shows. Don't let this historic landmark get torn down. Nicholas LabashFlag

Name: Anonymous on Mar 5, 2008Comments: As a citizen of California, I do not want to sell the Cow Palace. What needs to be done is to make it a historical land mark. The history behind this building and the events that have been held there is the history of California. Find some where else to sell and leave the Cow Palace alone and as isFlag

Name: Tamara Myers on Mar 5, 2008Comments: There is already plenty of housing in Daly City. There are pitifully few venues like the Cow Palace that are this large and versatile. People come from all over California to see performances. I visit the Cow Palace from 75 miles away to go to dog shows, horse shows, rodeos and music concerts.Flag

Not only have I attended many events there such as concerts and The Grand National, my family has owned and operated the Golden Gate Kennel Club dog show for decades. It would be a tragedy to lose this historic building as it is part of the fabric that makes the Bay Area so unique.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Mar 6, 2008Comments: The Cow Palace is part of San Francisco's history and it should remain part of its future (I was born in Alamada over fifty years ago and still live and work in the SF Bay Area). And it is the BEST location for the annual Dickens Faire. Please don't hasten its demise. I've invited a friend from Seattle to the Dickens Faire; don't make me write her that the historic Cow Palace is no more!Flag
