Comments: I live in San Bruno and attend the Dickens fair every year. Many other community events take place at cow palace and it could be used for even more community events. I would hate to see it torn down. Please save the Cow Palace!

Comments: Save the Palace of the Cows! I've gone to functions there since I was a kid. I went to KSFO functions there with my parents, concerts like The Rolling Stones, Van Halen, Blue Oyster Cult with Ronnie Montrose and Gamma, Smashing Pumpkins and more. The venue is not only a Bay Area Icon but a venue well known across the country! No other venue compares! - Dan

Comments: What a shame it would be to knock down such a historical bldg. It seems all that is worth keeping around from the past is destroyed mainly due to greed .

Comments: This is not only a Bay Area land mark but a national landmark. Millions of people have benefited from the existance of the facility with uses such as entertainment, livestock shows, dog shows, etc... Selling the Cow Palace will be selling a part of a tradition that we have grown to adore. I am personally attached to the facility because I grew up exhibiting livestock there and now am teaching agricultural students with the hope that they will be able to exhibit livestock at the Cow Palace. Please consider the benefit of the facility in regards to the people not somebody's pocketbook!

Comments: Please stop this travesty - I spent the better part of my youth at Cow Palace events - this building is part of the State's culture and heritage and selling/destroying it so developers can build condos and a strip mall is just outrageous. Instead, work to further develop use of the building to provide additional revenue for the surrounding community, while continuing to provide a large venue for a diverse array of events.

Comments: When I lived in Pacifica, I used to show different animals at the Cow Palace plus my family would go to different type of events there too. Please don't tear it down for condos, and a shopping mall. The area doesn't need it, it needs a place for family acitivities can be done at year around. I would like to have a place when I move back to the Bay city to take my sons.

Comments: Selling off the Cow Palace is not going to bring money to the area. The Cow Palace draws hundreds of thousands of people for all over California and the United States to the area, bringing in all that money for the businesses in the area. Hundreds of thousands of people are not going to travles hundreds or thousands of miles to visit a strip mall.

Comments: I'm appalled by this swindle - America needs to save historic structures and the Cow Palace qualifies. It's extremely short-sighted to knock it down...and for what Don't let it happen.

Comments: As a former Daly City resident of 24 years and current San Franciscan, I am vehemently opposed to this legislation. The Cow Palace is both a historic site and a flourishing venue for community and specialized events. This WPA-era building has NOT outlived its usefullness and is NOT on its last legs. It is regarded affectionately by locals and those visiting for the very first time. It has many more years of use in its future, that is if special interests and misguided efforts are not allowed to trump a true community good for one and all. I respectfully ask Sen. Yee to resconsider this mis-guided legislation.

Comments: I think this arena is a valuable event center and historical location. I want it here for future generations to use and enjoy. Some of the most memorable concerts where played here. And, I enjoy the Agricultural link it brings to the city each year. Please don't lose sight of the Cow Palace's importance.
