This petition is in response to a request for offstreet parking and Fitness Facility on the NW corner of Courtney La/Hicksville Rd The excess traffic and over crowding of off street parking will jeopardize the safety of the children playing in their residential neighborhood. School buses can't turn down the street and are in danger of getting rear ended on Hicksville Rd. waiting to turn into Courntey La. The increase of thru traffic has caused much danger to our children and the platent disregard for the stop sign at the corner of my house. Cars make u turns, k turns, block traffic for entering off hicksville road, delivery trucks, ups, fed ex and so forth are all guilty of illegal parking. If there is not enough parking lot spaces provided for the proposed business, then more research should be done to accomodate the desired parking spaces. The residents of Courtney Lane and neighboring streets respectfully request the varience to be denied.
