Name: Lynda on Aug 18, 2006Comments: I agree -- this was just pathetic the way it was handled. As the last poster said, I hope that some of the country stars and some of the celebs like Jason Alexander and William Shatner will step forward and join the public outcry against this. This is just awful...and however many listeners they are hoping for at the new "Movin" 93.9, they have already alienated several hundred thousand people who wouldn't be caught DEAD listening to it...and not just because the music sucks, but out of PRINCIPLE! Smooth move by the Emmis company. I hope this station tanks big time. I for one, will NEVER listen. 93.9 is permanently being de-programmed from my radios...and I suggest the rest of you do the same.Flag

Who needs Country music they are saying: Guess Who We the people out there in the listening world who matter but I guess they are thinking that we do not matter. $$$$$$$$$$$$$ is what makes the ratings go round.Flag

Name: Bobby Ray on Aug 19, 2006Comments: I just heard about this and I am SICK. What on earth must country's biggest stars be thinking about this nonsense It's like a nightmare...I still can't even believe this is happening. Country is all I listen to anymore, and it's all I buy...and I buy a LOT. As I know so many of you do. I can't figure out why the rise in country music music sales is not translating to radio listenership -- doesn't make sense. Can someone shed some light on this I'm so mad right now I almost want to go move someplace else and leave L.A. altogether...screw it. Hey, it says in this magazine that Fort Collins, CO is the best place in the country to live. I THINK I'LL CHECK IT OUT!!!! I want to be wherever Rick Dees is NOT.Flag

Name: Emo P on Aug 19, 2006Comments: EMMIS COMMUNICATIONS BLOWS. This is not how a company should do business. I will tell everyone I have the chance to to BOYCOTT this for-shit station that plays nothing but cookie cutter music with a cookie cutter DJ. No thanks. You people are as nuts as Troy Gentry. The guy's probably killed 5 bears by now, just trying to work through the stress of this situation. BRING BACK THE GOOD STUFF. I want my Country!Flag

I can't stand listening to that other station that seem to always act like children....I enjoy listening to all the kzla DJ's. Each one of them holds a place in my heart....This is truly unbelievable!! I feel like a family member has just passed away. My heart is brokenFlag

Name: Anonymous on Aug 19, 2006Comments: This is prejudice of another form in my opinion. This is just another way of the liberal media trying to squash out anything or any way of supporting George Bush. County listeners in general are conservative and the liberals can't stand it, they hate all the great military and 9/11 songs by Toby , Alan and all the others. That's why the Dixie Chicks are still so popular with that crowd! This is an outrage and we need to make our voices loud and clear. People who love country music are a devoted kind of people. We take our music very personally and we love our coutry artist.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Aug 19, 2006Comments: I am appalled though not surpised by the actions of Emmis. Deleting a country music station without warning to staff or audience was despicable act. Please count me among the others who will avoid any radio stations and/or shows connected with this company. Just fyi to the marketing dept.: Given the number of people, women in particular, that I am aware of I believe that you need to take another poll.Flag

We live in an area where KFRG and KSON are difficult to receive so it was a shock to lose KZLA. What idiot thought we (country fans) were or are not worth it! We need another source of country music.Flag
