Name: Brian Goldbard on May 31, 2007Comments: Lubbock needs hockey. It is a nice alterrnative to the traditional Texas sports. The team and players have made a difference in the lives of many in the community, including the "Caps for Courage" program started by former a Cotton King, to the 24 foundation founded by Texas Tech hockey coach Paul Fioroni. Hockey in Lubbock is necessary for the quality of life, and a good team with competent owners, who want a successful team will good for all.Flag

Name: Melinda Moore on Jun 1, 2007Comments: I don't particularly care for football or basketball, but I love hockey. I truly hope there is some way this can all be worked out so that we can have hockey in Lubbock and not have to drive 2 or 3 hours just to see a game or for our kids to participate in it.Flag

Name: Randy Huffty on Jun 1, 2007Comments: I think it would be a big disappointment if Lubbock was to lose not only the Lubbock Cotton's Kings, but the ice hockey program that has been in Lubbock for several years now. I know with my son playing for the Jr. Jackalopes and being a part of this program I have seen a lot of kids go through this program and go on to bigger and better things that has involved being in hockey. The sport is great for the community and the youth of all ages. I think there is a great rivalry between Lubbock and Odessa in the CHL. Please look into this and don't be to hasty to push hockey out of town, there are some good things that do come out of the sport.Flag

Who is going to gain when the building is pulled down Do some council members have an interest in this area If not, why not go back to the table and TRY and get a lease sorted out...Flag
