Name: Troy Nelson on May 29, 2007Comments: As the owner of the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees, I think it would be a complete shame to see the Cotton Kings not put a team on the ice this season. The Cotton Kings and the City of Lubbock have been great partners with the CHL for eight years, I'd hate to think of that relationship being severed. I urge the City of Lubbock to do what they can to ensure that the great Cotton Kings tradition continues for the good people of Lubbock.Flag

Name: Anonymous on May 29, 2007Comments: I am only signing this because I love hockey and want hockey in Lubbock, TX. I have been a huge supporter of the Cotton Kings for 6 years. I do support hockey, but not the Cotton Kings anymore. The Cotton Kings get worse every season and I blame the majority owners. I do want a hockey team in Lubbock, but not one owned of run by the current Cotton King majority owners.Flag

Name: Bill Curnow on May 31, 2007Comments: We absolutely need to fight to keep professional, high-quality hockey in Lubbock. However, that won't happen without significant changes to the team's management and ownership and that may involve a name change. Attendance has declined, and the relationship with the City has certainly soured, but all of this can be repaired with time and money, commodities not currently available to the current owners.Flag

Name: Elaine Goodloe on May 31, 2007Comments: This hockey team provides countless benefits to Lubbock and its surrounding communities, by enhancing the quality of life, encouraging people to come visit the city and spend money and bringing international recognition. There are also humanitarian contributions by the players, coaches and staff with their volunteer efforts and community involvement. This is important to thousands of people. Please don't let hockey die in Lubbock!!Flag

If not, then I hope the City Council & Civic Lubbock keep an open mind to the possibility of another ownership group coming into play.Flag

Name: Karina Stults on May 31, 2007Comments: I think that it would be a travesty if the city did not rethink trying to get rid of the Cotton KIngs. Not only do the cotton kings bring revenue to the city of lubbock but most importantly the players are definitately assests to our community. The raise money for charities such as the Children's Miracle Network and they are very active in the community. Many of the players speak to youth groups at churches, read to kids at area schools and visit kids at local hospitals. It is ridiculous that the city council members are not in their positions for to help with the betterment of the citizens of Lubbock but to pad their own pockets and stick to their own agendas. The Lubbock Cotton Kings deserve another year in Lubbock.Flag

Name: Tony Woollis on May 31, 2007Comments: I really think we need hockey to stay in our city. I will be really upset if the city council doesnt come up with a three year deal for the kings. i have been a season ticket holder since the 2nd year. I think that it is terrible that we are the only team in the chl that doesnt have control over the concessinons.Flag

Come on David Miller, was it not part of your campaign to do everything to keep the team in Lubbock because it helped promote and make money for the city.Flag
