Name: Lura Salm on Oct 28, 2009Comments: Cornell Cinema has enhanced my university experience beyond explication! The classic films and new independent features always get me excited for the new season. Just last year the cinema allowed me to explore the works of Godard, Cocteau, Truffaut, and many other talented and subversive directors. It is a gem in the arts world of Cornell and should be fully supported in all respects.Flag

Name: Adam Baratz on Oct 28, 2009Comments: This is absurd. Clearly Cornell Cinema brings so much more value to the community than slope day does. The hoards of inebriated students are not able to actually appreciate the music. Trust me, I would know. Slope day, while festive, is a purely hedonistic event. Conversely, the cinema provides students with a great variety of benefits. Cornell Cinema is cultural mecca of sorts. It is a place where students can relax. The theater helps to connect students to the world. Finally, the cinema provides its benefits throughout the ENTIRE YEAR!!! The cinema is therefore a cornerstone of the Cornell experience. Cornell Cinema outdoes slope day and therefore deserves the funding.Flag

Name: Megan Lawless on Oct 28, 2009Comments: The Cornell Cinema is a great resource to have on campus. I love going there on weekends and would hate to see them make cuts in programming. I think their request for increased funding is reasonable and should not be denied.Flag
