To All My Close and Wonderful Friends,

I really need your help! I have been discriminated against by the Human Resources Department over at the YMCA of Greater New York for being a college student. They refused to accept my drug test that was a day late. The reason be ing is because I was at school taking two summer courses. I have no car and I am not made with money to commute one hour away to Cobleskill, NY to get the drug testing completed. They gave me two business days to complete the test. I could not do it because I had obligations with school and I had to take exams during those days as well.

They gave me another opportunity to redo the drug test but not only did I have to do a urinary analysis(Which I did the first time around), but I had to do a hair test. The YMCA did not tell me that I was required to do a hair test at the beginning of the application process. My hair was too short resulting in not being able to get the analysis complete and being deemed ineligible for employment. I've spoken to Georgina Bran, Director of Human Resources, Lyn Hall, Vice President of Human Resources, and Shelley Archer, Human Resources Specialist. All three of these individuals were being unreasonable.

I'm sure you are all wondering how you can help? You can help by signing this petition I will link you all to, send an email to the Vice President of Human Resources, and give her a call to let her know how unreasonable they are being and help me convince them to give me the job. I will also like you with all of the materials documenting my back story to this whole situation and any email correspondence I've had with them for your review and to authenticate the situation!

Feel free to ask her to speak to her superiors as I have already done that already. Thank you all so much for your support! I've tried reasoning with them for a couple of weeks now and they continue to be unreasonable. I need all the help I can get in order to get their decision overruled once and for all! If you have any questions, please send my a private message on Facebook.

Thank you all so much!
