This petition is to reduce the wage of our congress people to a reasonable amount. The average congressman, women makes $174,000 to start. I feel it is time for the American people to set the wages of our congress people. They work for us yet they are able to vote themselves a raise. I think it is time to set a base starting salary at $90,000 and if they get reelected based on performance then they get a raise. Why is it that the average salary per year has went down for the average American worker yet our congress people keep making more money. It is time for the American people to make our congress workers do the job they are hired for and work for us. Lets push this petiton and get it on the National ballot next fall.
