My fellow AMERICANS! The other day I witnessed an unbelievable display of ignorance, arrogance, and hypocrisy! A few days ago the CEO of AIG, Edward Liddy, testified in a House Financial Services Committee hearing. Although Mr. Liddy is the NEW CEO of AIG, WHO CAME OUT OF RETIREMENT, AND IS WORKING FOR ONE DOLLAR A YEAR, and is NOT TO BLAME for the troubles that AIG is in, some of these congressmen and women BERATED and BLAMED him for it, and the contracts that were written BEFORE MR. LIDDY TOOK CHARGE! Again, Mr. Liddy came out of retirement to help fix the AIG problem, and is WORKING FOR ONE DOLLAR A YEAR! Democrat Representative Stephen F. Lynch of Massachusetts, and others, obviously knew this to be true and yet repeatedly blamed Mr. Liddy! It was also suggested that the other people who work at AIG work for a dollar too by these hypocrites THAT CAUSED THE PROBLEM! Which brings me to the point of this petition. These ignorant, arrogant, hypocrites in the congress blame a man who comes out of retirement and works for a dollar a year for THEIR MISTAKES while giving themselves raises. The 535 members of congress pay themselves $174,000 per year which adds up to $93,090,000. If the congress got a pay cut from their boss' (WE THE PEOPLE) and worked for $1 a year for the next two years like Mr. Liddy, it would save the American people $186,178,930! If you think the congress should put THEIR money where THEIR mouth is instead of YOUR money then sign this petition.
