I propose that we make a significant change to the pay and entitlements the men and women of congress seem to think they deserve. The changes I seek are thus: Reduce their pay to that of what an O-3 with ten years in the military makes with a housing allowance. Health care while they serve and no longer. Take away an automatic retirement. Just as in the military, if they make it to twenty years of service they get 75% of what they last made before retiring.
