Wrexham has no road policy this council has no idea how to run the town. Mistake after mistake a bunch of idiots. Scrap this trial and lets get back to normal. Travelled every day through there never had a problem.Flag

This was of course caused by all the traffic from Sainsbury's turning right as nothing can go under the bridge.Flag

Name: Sian Kelly on Oct 1, 2012Comments: For those who are nervous about driving under the bridge, it's understandable, but those drivers should find an alternative route. The road is wide enough if passing drivers take their time and are careful. My daily commute is now 10 minutes longer than need be, all down to traffic being forced towards an already heavily congested area. This will surely adversely impact the businesses situated on the Plas Coch retail site and the B&Q complex as customers will avoid this area and potentially seek other alternatives. Once the perception of a heavily congested area becomes established it can prove difficult to overcome and by that point the damage is already done.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Oct 2, 2012Comments: A foot bridge going over the bridge is a far more reasonable solution. I work near hospital and my child goes to Rhosddu school. I now have to travel down the by-pass, up Chester Road, then down to Rhosddu, to pick up my child. Travelling down Grosvenor Road will take me a further 30 mins.Flag

This one way road idea is utterly stupid, looking at the council web site, it wants the local opinion from businesses and the local public. Then way didnt they canvass this before putting this into action. Money wasted and time. LISTEN TO PEOPLE CLLR BITHELLFlag

Name: Glyn on Oct 2, 2012Comments: After Sainsbury paying to improve traffic flow, Wrexham Council has done the complete reverse, wake up and smell the coffee, this is not a solution, you have made traffic chaos even more unbearable since changing the flow of traffic at the Rhosddu Bridge. Put your thinking caps on again!!!Flag

Name: Anna-Maria Davies on Oct 3, 2012Comments: I think this would have a massive inpact on the people of wrexham if the road was made one way. This is a terriable idea and needs to be reviewed to take into account the people who use this route on a regular basis. Please take these and all other comments on board.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Oct 3, 2012Comments: This is causing massive delays along the Mold road. Have a look a rush hour. Thes traffic along with the one way system by the post office on to Grosvenor road. The simple answer is to put a foot path over the bridge and remove it under the bridge to widen the road. Simple!!!Flag

Name: Carol Crump on Oct 3, 2012Comments: Having already experience the congestion along Mold Rd and Grosvenor Rd I can't imagine how much worse it's going to get. I appreciate the need to allow for mobility scooters to have pedestrian access but couldn't traffic lights be installed or, if funding is an issue, the 'priority arrow' system that is used on other narrow pieces of road - under the Eccleston? bridge, leading to Handbridge nr Chester. Not costly, surely?Flag

Name: Jenny.s on Oct 3, 2012Comments: what a ludicrous idea! i live in rhosddu and my child goes to ysgol plas coch. getting to the school is ok, getting back home is the problem. a 5 minute journey is now taking me over 20! i nearly had a head on collision this morning on the very narrow part of the new rat run, crispin lane! this area is even narrower than under the rhosddu bridge. the problem has just been moved from one area to another. i hope that the council scrap this stupid idea and put things back as they were. like many people on here have already suggested, remove the walk way from under the bridge and build a new one over it, or a pedestrian tunnel at the side of the bridge. counciler bithell, i thought you represent the people in this area? if you do, try and sort this mess out, if you dont, you wont be getting my vote again, and im sure that a lot of other people will be feeling the same way as i do.Flag
