Name: Harrison Mr.Kenneth on Sep 21, 2012Comments: As a resident of stansty area I have not been consulted regarding this and can foresee a number of difficulties arising . Sainsburys and Aldi must be rubbing their hands in glee as shoppers from this area who previously shopped at Tesco and Asda in future will have to trek through the town centre via Grosvenor Road which is already overloaded. Our only access to town will be via Plas Coch Lane or Crispin Lane both of which are aleady conjested. Once having widened the footpath and made the road one way I very much fear that the residents of this area will be presented with a fait accompli and there will be no going back.Flag

Name: Mrs Petula Whittle on Sep 21, 2012Comments: I have lived around here since 1977 and the road was not too bad until the retail park opened. Now Saturdays the cue going towards Sainsbury's the cars cue as the bike shop, if you are turning right out of stansty chain link road (gypsy's lane), it can take forever. Closing the road to traffic going towards town is ludicrous. Either cut back the none load bearing stones, install line markings, or even put up traffic light like they have in Buckley at a Bridge because its narrow and there they have four way light would be a better idea. Have they even thought of the impact it will have on local residents not just the one close to the bridge but further up. It is going to cause back logs for traffic going towards Sainsbury's and Mold road, but also Crispen lane and Glyndwr Uni. Peak times are going to be an absolute nightmare. Traffic will end up cuing under the bridge as the road alterations they put in place to alleviate the jams from Sainsbury's did nothing to alleviate the the build up of traffic if anything it has made it worse, as drivers these days don't seem to know the highway code about blocking exits. Mold road is bad enough during peak times imagine what is going to happen when all traffic has to use the only two other routes to get into town, CONGESTION won't be the word for it and I bet a MAN came up with the NOT so Brilliant idea like the MOLD road one. I think I am going to have to start videoing the traffic build up residents around here are having enough problems with the school traffic let alone the extra traffic that is now going to have to use the road one way A MAJOR DISASTER WAITING TO HAPPEN and SOON.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Sep 23, 2012Comments: my work in the local hospital currently means that i, and a large number of people already suffer from the congestion in the town; i am not happy with the proposals to make stansty road/ bridge one way traffic as this would most definately cause me additional problems with my wrok, especially in the event of an emergency.Flag

Name: Ann Keyes on Sep 23, 2012Comments: I have used this route in both directions for the last 48 years and have never encountered a problem, as long as you drive carefully there should be no problem. I have only ever seen one accident and hat was when us bus which was too high got stuck under the bridge. There is room for pedestrians and prams on footpath so no need to widen this, if you feel it necessary please have a traffic light system, do not make one way.Flag

Name: Mark Emlyn Samuels on Sep 23, 2012Comments: what a ludicrous idea! do the council realise what a nightmare they will be creating for residents in the rhosddu area? crispin lane and grosvenor road will be gridlock. as other people have suggested on here. leave things how they are. remove the walkway from under the bridge, build a new one over it, or a pedestrian tunnel. has sainsburys realised how much custom they will be loosing? it will be ok getting there from rhosddu, but what about getting back? a detour through the town centre? a 5 minute journey turns into a 20 minute one. no thanks, i,ll be doing my shopping elsewere.Flag

Name: A Lally on Sep 24, 2012Comments: I guessed it would be chaos but never could have imagine just how dreadful GRIDLOCK!!! What concerns me is the word 'trial' why widen the pavement already if it is only a trail. Sainsburys etc will suffer as I am not putting myself through that each time and I know full well that I am not the only one :-(Flag

Name: Karen Davies on Sep 24, 2012Comments: It actually took me double my normal journey time this morning to get to work due to traffic congestion on the llay/rhosddu road. I live in Gwersyllt and use that bridge as my way of entering Wrexham and avoiding traffic on the b&q roundabout. One very angry resident.Flag
