Comments: Once again the council are not listening. All that is required is a footbrige over the railway track and do away with the footpath under the bridge. Traffic in Grove Road will increase and gridlock will become the norm.

Comments: One of the most stupid ideas that wrexham council have come up with. Do any of these people actually drive? Bet the council work vans won't like having to go through the town and think of the extra fuel all the vehicles will be using.

Comments: its going to be a nightmare with traffic congestion these councillors must sit in their offices just thinking what they can do next to wind the motorist up. traffic lights will cause long tail backs.remove the footpath and put an overhead walk bridge before any more tax payers money is wasted

Comments: this idea is silly, i live in rhosddu and go to glyndwr university, as i dont have great health i sometimes go to uni by car, to come back home i will have go all the way around stuck in unnesary traffic. if i visit family in stansty i will have to travel all the way to town just to go home. if people arent confident enough to go through the bridge that is big enough to fit 2 cars through then dont go through the bridge, it is these people that hog the bridge when they go through it and cause accidents

Comments: If NASA can train a chimp to fly a spacecraft, why hasn't it got a spare one to plan road systems and give it a JOB in Wrexham this IS absolutely preposterous !! I have been using this Bridge for well on thirty years with no problem but todays drivers are totally useless if you want to mamsee pamby about because of the dithers stick lights on it like they do in Vulcan Village by Warrington or take the footpath out and make a bridge over the railway. You are going to Kill off bushiness !! can you afford to do that because of people who CANT DRIVE

Comments: This is a terrible idea that has not been thought out and it is a utter discrace that local businesses have not been asked there opinion as to if a one way system is good. I run a local taxi firm and it already is a nightmare to get around the town and during morning and afternoon rush hours the town is a complete crawl. All the traffic will have to use Grosvenor road which is heavily congested, a prime example is that it took 15 minutes to get from Vicarage Hill to the other side of Grosvenor road at the Rhosddu road side, has the council even bothered to look at the increased traffic flow as 'monitoring' the situation once it has started will just bring that area of town to a full stop at most times of the day. I use the bridge both ways most days and have never had an accident as I take my time, the only ones that crash are people who do not give way but push there way through. If the council have money then demolish the footpath and build a walkway over the bridge which will be safer for both pedestrians and drivers. My fear is that the council will make the one way system permanent without asking local transport businesses. Teribble idea and I cannot believe this has even been given the thumbs up even for a trial. Waste of taxpayers money.

Comments: I agree that something needs to be done with this bridge but one way is not the answer! A bridge for pedestrians seems a much better option. From 3.30 onwards Grosvenor is gridlocked as it is. God only knows what chaos this is going to cause at rush hour and especially at Christmas if this goes ahead

Comments: This action simply panders to those roadusers who cannot drive properly. With the exception of HGV's and buses two vehicles can pass each other easily providing they each keep to their side of the road.

Comments: Living in Garden village and having a grandchild in Plas Coch ans using the Retail Park regularly I find the proposal for the bridge ill thought, unresearched and with no consideration for local people. The options give me a sense of dread and will make each journey in the future one of foreboding -please reconsider.

Comments: I fail to understand the need for this trial. I use the road regularly and have never had a problem. Never seem an accident, just caution is all thats required. Traffic will back up at the Plas Coch roundabout especially at school time with a local school nearby. If its a trial why widen the footpath, does this mean that this trial is permanent?Traffic light trial would be an idea, Wrexham Council have a record of appalling transport and road decisions throughout the town. Who thought this up, its never been listed as an accident black spot, trouble is we have councillors that are so far removed from realty. Get the police out of their cars and do foot patrols and sort out the crime, thats what councillors need to be sorting out. Get into the real world.

Comments: The Council are not offering a better alternative. After people have accessed that part of town we then have to travel miles to get back to Rhosddu Road....and this is the council for the environment! The alternative is to leave as two way system and remove the footpath and spend money on a walkway over the railway line...thus solving the issue. But hey that means spending money so let the taxpaper pay for it in time and fuel cost

Comments: Ridiculous idea. If you have to make any changes at all it would be a much better idea would be to put lights on it. But I've driven this way for the last 6 years with no problems whatsoever. Far better to catch the idiots who can't drive rather than penalise the majority of us who know how wide our cars are.

Comments: The flow of traffic to Sainsburys roundabout is already a nightmare, as it is in town down to the roundabout at the Rhosddu Road junction. Closing the tunnel will direct even more vehicles this way. It is a crazy idea, but typical of the the traffic management staff on Wrexham Council. Traffic lights would be better but even these will cause big snarl ups

Comments: Whilst I can understand where the highways dept are coming from, I don't believe this is the answer. Widening the underpass, although technically unpopular, is the obvious answer. While we are about the subject, the Walnut Pub junction is crying out for traffic light controls. It is the most difficult and dangerous junction in town to negotiate and is long, long overdue for remedy!
