In signing this petition I state that I believe the confidentiality of communications between support groups and counseling centers and their participants is ABSOLUTE. Support groups and counseling centers would be greatly harmed if victims of abuse were not able to feel secure in the confidentiality of their sessions. Victims of abuse are very fragile when it comes to "trust" and other people. Mustering the strength to speak with a counselor or supporter of any sort would be devastated if there was not this confidentiality.
