Name: Clay Pickett on Aug 14, 2003State: VAComments: It is a crime to all native Virginians to hear that Prince William County Govt. is acting this way. I guess our own local govt. has lost sight of our history, probably due to all the foreigners and yankees that have moved into Virginia. We can never lose sight of our history and MUST protect our heritage. I know I will be voting against all incumbents during the next election so that we can clean out the garbage that is running this fine Virginia county into the ground with overdevelopment, etc just to line their own pockets with money.Flag

Name: Rick Forlines on Sep 13, 2003State: VAComments: Why not support a Proclamation recognizing Confederate Heritage and History within the state of Virginia Are there any fewer folks within this State that have Confederate lineage than others If we can celebrate Kwanzaa and Black History Month is it no less discriminatory and revisionist for us to commemorate Confederate History and Heritage Month, particularly in view of the fact that it was African's who sold their own into slavery along the shores of Western Africa. Please, give us all a break and let us finally break this chain of fault finding between one group and another and move on into the era that King spoke about when we would all supposedlt be equal.Flag

Name: Pamela Lee Boliew on Sep 14, 2003State: LAComments: I think it is important for all governing bodies to recognize Confederate History and Heritage. And as American citizens, I beleive we have a right to address all state or local governing bodies with these concerns. No, I do not live in Virginia, but I have ancestors who fought for the Confederacy and lie forever asleep in her bosom. Should the opportunity ever arise to relocate to Virginia, the sympathy of the local government to Confederate issues would definitely play a role in my decision. That same matter also dictates where my money is spent as tourism dollars. Please consider passing a Confederate History Month Proclamation in 2004. Do the right thing. Recognize ALL history and heritage, not just those of specific special interest groups.Flag

Name: Daniel Kesler on Sep 14, 2003State: PAComments: Anyone or any group that berates and belittles the South, and the Confederates battles of "self defense"and its failed attempt at preserving the Constitution, and that continues to promote and perpetuate fallacious attitudes in those regards, all the while doing so under a banner that still displays and honors the 13 original slave States/Colonies without so much as a 2nd thought, has no business criticising anyone or anything Southern. As a Native Virginian, I can assure you that neither Prince William nor any other Virginia County will relieve me of my monies or my time. What a sad State Virginia has become!Flag

Name: Teresa Radford on Feb 14, 2004State: TNComments: The Prince William County, Board of Supervisors, are making a major mistake. It was the Federal Government that invaded the South. The CSA Government NEVER surrendered. Only the military did. True Southerners work, pay taxes, and vote. Never forget that.Flag
