This petition is for those who feel that the progressive loss of benefits and addition of required duties is NOT in the best interest of the English Immersion Program teachers, current or future, of Uchon Elementary.
(Please see the lists below for details.)

Additionally, signing this petition is to serve as a statement that:
1. The Immersion Program teachers wish, in the absence of a direct advocate, to be considered and consulted with on matters directlyaffecting their benefits and duties as teachers of Uchon.

2. All duties not listed in the contractual agreements of Immersion Program teachers and outside of working hours will be performed only after a formal request from management/administration and thesubsequent agreement of the individual teacher(s).

- Salary negotiation
- Vacation time (school year extension)
- Planning time (increase in the number of teaching periods)
- Parallel leadership (immersion program no longer has
- Banning the receipt of gifts (despite permission in the contract)
- "Quality of Life Assistance"

Additions:
- Patrol duty (outside contract hours)
- Church volunteering (mandatory volunteering, outside of contract)
- Lead teacher roles
- Assigned roles during Korean-led events (previously only attendance required)
- School calendar extension (after Saturday Korean-only instruction was cancelled)
- TEC
- Wednesday school day extension (addition of 6th period)
- Supervision/attendance requirements during Korean bible/prayer service

Ultimately, it is in the best interest of both the employer and the employee(s) to maintain benefits (as well as extend them with seniority) and promote positive relations through actions of consideration and respect.
