Name: Anonymous on Mar 25, 2008Comments: Please dont count me as supporting your petition in general. The question is what is possible If the increase deminishes the effectivness of our programs and activities in town, is that a correct budget to present I would love to have a conversation with the people proposing this petition. Please contact me so I can understand the full impact of your "proposal". As you indicate, a reasoned approach is the best one. Perhaps we can find commong ground.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Mar 25, 2008Comments: Cut the budget, the schools are wasting monies on trips to Finland, electricity in the schools and heating the building higher than needed. Until we can curtail the spending on useless administration and start having the teachers paid on performance versus the students performance, we need to lower the budget. Look at the roads, they need repairing and then look at the schools, they are shining castles.Flag

Name: Donald Groff on Mar 31, 2008Comments: Why is it that town contracts are negotiated (and agreed upon) before we know the size of the budget Consider this: If the school budget is insufficient for the number of teachers (whose contracts are already agreed upon), there will be no choice but to fire teachers and increase class size. Its backwards.Flag
