The word is that Conan O'Brien will eventually be taking Jay Leno's place, much as Jay Leno took Johnny Carson's. I was young at the time, but was still quite sad when Jay Leno took over for the king of late night. Eventually I got over it and managed to tolerate watching Jay Leno. But there is no was NBC can force us to watch Conan O'Brien on the longest running late night show in history. This could be the downfall of the tonight show. Conan O'Brien is not the slightest bit funny. He's more of an embarassment. You can tell celebrity guests feel uncomfortable talking to him. HE spends most of the time blabbering about himself, making fun of himself, or just acting stupid. This type of comedy was great in second grade, but will not stand for adult late night television. Conan O'Brien must be stopped. We've got to let NBC know that if Jay Leno wants to retire, they need to stop trying to be polite by using the only other guy from their network. They need to look around and find someone that's not going to make the Tonight Show a thing of the past, thus disrespecting the wonderful memories of Johnny Carson.
