The students residing in Alwyn Halls were not made aware of the building work that began shortly after the beginning of this year. The students have had to deal with the high constant noise levels around the halls. The noise is disturbing and causes stress, as scientifically proven, constant background noise (especially when early in the morning) causes higher stress levels. For these reasons, those students that have been affected by the building work should be given some form of compensation.

Ridiculous to start jackhammering at 7am every single day. I have exams and havent slept a full night in weeks. We pay way too much for rent to deal with this.
