Problem: The lack of equal pay that exists between men and woman that hold the same job leads to woman having increased difficulty in repaying student debt. This makes them have less economic prosperity and a lower standard of living then men. This inequality makes higher education more accessible to men, and prohibits equal opportunities between the sexes.

Mission: For the government compensate for the wage gap that exists for woman in the work force by increasing federal aid for woman to pay for college.

Summary : According to Whitehouse. gov women make78 cents to every dollar a man makes. About 88 percent of Americans take out student loans with the average American taking out 20,000 in loans. Though more woman go to college then men do, the burden of loans will be more financially intense for woman due to disparity in income. Even though men and women may preform the same task, the women will make less, hence having less money to pay for loans. This equality created by unequal paychecks therefore, should be compensated by the federal government allowing for women to be able to apply for receiving special government funding that would cover 22 percent of their college tuitions. This would balance the burden of student loans between men and woman and create equal economic opportunity for both sexes.

Closing statements : The wage gap is an undeniable phenomenon that has failed to correct itself along with many other strides for equality in this country. With increased value on a college degree and the rising number of student loans, woman are faced with more economic hardships because they pay the same tuition price as men, but will have more difficulties paying back loans due to unequal paychecks. As a woman in America, I fear first, that this will discourage woman from investing in education and promote further wealth inequality between men and woman. It is no accident that in recent reports , out of the 500 CEO’s that exist in the United states, only 22 are woman. This is one in many cases that prove that men get more opportunities and have more economic gains.

My question to you is why is the sticker price of education "equal " but the currency we have created has failed to promote equal opportunity? Why do we live in a world where mathematically men have more incentive to invest in higher education?

Lastly, this concept is meant to encourage equality for all groups, and all woman, all over. It is meant to benefit woman of all different races, backgrounds, careers, interests, and political affiliations.
