| 7 | Helen Tucker | The Government should be held to its commitments to develop community hospitals. The closure of hospitals and reductions of services in c ommunity hospitals should be halted - the Government should not condone PCT action to dismantle our valued rural health services. |
| 8 | erica watson | Our local hospital has already closed without consultation despite huge protests from the local community. However we continue to fight to retain health services for our community and to support Chant and related organisations. |

| 14 | David Gulliver | I am presently the Chairman of the Swaffham Community Hospital League of Friends and the Norfolk NHS Primary Care Trust have in their wisdom decided to remove the 18 Intermediate beds from the hospital under their review of Intermediate Care services review document which has been agreed by the Board. We are now in a 90 day consultation period but I can assure you we will fight the decision until they decide to have a change of heart. |

| 16 | Vincent Murphy | This is not going to improve efficiency. Organising ways for agencies to cut through petty regulations and co-operate would. |

| 19 | Josephine Graves | We are fighting hard in Chipping Norton to maintain decent healthcare facilities locally - we hope that we have managed to acquire a new hospital facility in conjunction with an old peoples' residential home - but there are still matters to be sorted - so we remain in solidarity with CHANT. Keep up the good work. |
| 20 | keith clandfield | stop all this interference with our hospital it belongs to CHIPPING NORTON . Not oxford ,Not Banbury . NOT St Johns Ambulance Brigade . Its N H NURSES > |

| 22 | Anonymous | where the hell are all these patients going to go once all these hospitals are closed. Towns are growing and hospitals closing .... what are they thinking of. |
| 23 | Gary Snyder | Return our Community Hospitals to the status they once had and end the cuts to the NHS. |
| 24 | Hilary Hibbert - Biles | Rural areas such as west Oxfordshire need their community hospitals. They need a proper ambulance service. They need a proper out of hours service.
Rural areas have little public transport during the day let alone at night. It is a total disgrace to close Community hospitals and we are building up huge problems for the future. |

| 32 | Peter Britten | Community hospitals that are local provide service which is more easily to access by all not just those with their own transport, It does not take much snow locally to prevent travel to main hospitals. This means no medical care except for those close to major hospitals.
Our next nearest hospital is 13 miles away and bad weather soon makes that difficult. We do NOT have the backup of the ambulance now as this is based at least as far away and have to rely on retained fire service, they are very often quicker |
| 33 | HughesFamily | Please protect and improve our services at our local Community Hospital. We need local services for local people. The vulnerable can't easily get to the regional centres of excellence. It simply doesn't make sense centralising services when the impact means more journeys. |

| 39 | Anonymous | It is essential that Community Hospitals are kept open. We here at Swaffham Community Hospital are in the middle of a campaign to keep our Intermediate Beds that the Norfolk PCT are wanting to axe to cut costs. We will fight to ensure they resind on their proposal. |
| 40 | Janet Chambers | Particularly for patients in rural areas, Community Hospitals provide an essential service. Getting to a large hospital is extrremely difficult, particularly without a car or for elderly or infirm patients, or those with children. It is the poorest and most in need who will suffer from loss of local services |

| 48 | Lesley Suggate | As Chairman of the League of Friends of Buckingham Hospital, I support this peition. I feel positive about Buckingham Hospital but feel we should support others who may be less fortunate. |
| 49 | Anne Richmond | Community Hospitals are in a unique position to provide high quality hospital care close to home. Hospital stays are often shorter as staff are better placed to plan effective and timely discharges.
For palliative care patients, the quieter, calmer atmosphere is invaluable to provide supportive care to them and their families |
