Virgin Atlantic has announced it will be suspending its operations between London Heathrow and Accra, Ghana, from 22nd September 2013. The last flight from Accra to London will depart on 23rd September. We the dedicated and loyal customers of Virgin Atlantic who travel to Ghana, are hugely disappointed and dismayed at Virgin's decision to cease the service. Virgin Atlantic have said that due to the exceptionally high fuel costs in Ghana and as they're unable to operate morning arrivals from Accra due to scarcity of slots at Heathrow, have all contributed to the decision to withdraw the service. How can Ghana's fuel cost's be more extortionate than in the UK and Europe? Why are the Ghananian government sitting back and watching our country fold! This will effect our economy greatly! We the customer's of Virgin Atlantic would really appreciate it, if this decision could be looked into again and reconsidered. We have enjoyed the exceptional service it has given us for the past three year's and I'm sure that we would greatly embrace the decision for it to continue.
