Head lice is rampant in British schools and is a continual problem. The current policies regarding head lice are ineffectual and sub-standard.No longer can a child be treated within the school for the lice so it is left to the parents to contain the problem.Many do not, thus the lice spreads rapidly between pupils. Not only is it emotionally distressing to pupils but it is also economical draining on the parents who wish to treat their children. The aim of this petition is to bring to light the growing promblem of head lice in our schools,highlight the need for a change of policy in the treatment of this menace. i.e the appointment of a school nurse, health and safety and ethics
