Over the last several months, the Colgrain Primary School PTA has been pursuing the local authorities in order to improve the traffic arrangements at the school. This was in response to the overwhelming backing of parents as was displayed in the questionnaire that was sent out last Easter. The outcome of which was a 96% backing for the introduction of limited access to the school during the busy times at the start and end of the school day. It is the intention of the PTA to limit cars approaching the school to only those with a real need (e.g. disabled access). As a start, the aim is to make the road linking the school to Redgauntlet Road a no-waiting area which would be marked with yellow hatched lines. The more signatures that can be added will help ensure that action is taken within a reasonable timescale.
