Coldplay has announced its North American tour. The tour is in support of their smash hit record Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends. Coldplay has spent this year touring through various places outside of North America. Coldplay hit Japan, the UK and Australia where they played a benefit daytime set for the Sound Relief charity, which helps victims of brushfires within the country. Coldplay's North American tour will last for approximately three months, covering as much ground as a band can. Coldplay's tour is mammoth. It's roughly three months long and reaches out to all points in North America (except Hawaii!).
