will support the candidature of your proposal to the next meeting of
technical and artistic commision." This is the response I received from
the President of the Italian Mint.3) "We

letter. The Polish Mint will forward our request for "A coin for Alan
Turing" to the National Bank of Poland who is in charge to issue the

Dear All. I would like to share with you the next
steps. On January I will send formal letters to the national mints let
them know about this petition and asking them to take into account our
proposal. I will start with the Italian mint Istituto
Poligrafico Zecca dello Stato (IPZS) and then I would procede with
mints of other european countries . Hoping in your help for translating
the letter, let me know if anyone of you is in touch with local

Looking for volunteer (who speak english better then me) who can produce a
simple videoclip with the reading of petition . The videoclip will be
loaded on youtube for promoting the campaign . Just put yourself in
front of your webcam, start the recording and read the petition. At the end load your video in the facebook page http://www.facebook.com/pages/A-Coin-for-Alan-Turing-Petition/115494545170570. Would be very nice to have videos in

Thousands of people have had their face on a coin. We think this privilege have to be granted also to Alan Turing in 2012, centenary of his birth. Because the coin has to be also considered like a communication media, useful to spread an authoritative message, from nations who want non only say thank to Alan Turing, but also to share and take memory of his contribution
