Name: Barbara Webb on Nov 25, 2012Comments: A disastrous vote, totally out of sync with the great majority of lay views in Wombourne, Lichfield Diocese. Do our representatives on General Synod vote in accordance with the lay majority or according to their own views? Surely on a matter of such importance they should vote to reflect the lay majority. Could the dioceses be permitted to instigate a method of checking the true majority in each church?Flag

Name: Roy Wootton (St Benedict Biscop - Wombourne - Lichfield Diocese) on Nov 26, 2012Comments: I am totally in favour of the ministry of women and women bishops. When is the Anglican Church going to move itself out of the Middle Ages? It is now so out of touch that it is hardly surprising that numbers are continually falling, while the charismatic churches go from strength to strength. The church should no longer continue to pander to the wishes of the older members who still wish to live in the past, but to make itself more attractive and welcoming to the young - they are its future ( I say this as a seventy year old).Flag

Name: Mrs Susan A Ridley on Nov 26, 2012Comments: I was very sad when I heard the result of the vote. With more women and less men going into ministry we may very well regret it in the future unless reconsideration happens. It was encouraging to hear that the heads of the church voted for, but very discouraging to hear that our representatives from the churches did not support them.Flag

Name: Janet R Perrett on Nov 26, 2012Comments: I fully support the ordination and consecration of women to the episcopate, and know that this is the wish of the vast majority of members of my church congregation and of the deaneries I visit. I have been asked by so many people in and out of the regular church congregation about 'what went wrong?' that I am convinced that a 'tes' vote is the iverwhelming wish of the laity in England.Flag
