Coast View Holiday Park is a long established caravan park in Shaldon which had developed to its natural limit for the trade available, but now an application has been passed to site 130 static caravans which will be an horrific blot on the landscape, will cause massive problems to the local infrastructure and major danger to the highways. This development is totally inappropriate for the area but unfortunately was pushed through council, contravening the county structure and local district plans. Coast View is situated in a Coastal Preservation Area and an Area of Great Landscape Value with a Local Nature Reserve nearby (Labrador Bay). There is also an abundance of natural wildlife including many endangered and protected species (Please see our blog for further details). We urge you to please join with the Ness Area Residents' Association (NARA) to overturn this catastrophic planning application that destroys this idyllic village and ruins our historic coastline, as requested by Mr. Pickles. This petition will be presented to the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government to be overturned, he said,"If there's enough of a fuss, I will do it", so let's do it!
