The petition

We, the alumni, students, and friends of Franklin, have received word of Jodee Pulizzano's recent firing and would like to urge you to reconsider your decision.

Jodee has been extremely successful at Franklin for over fifteen years. Not only has she led the team to many state championships, she has become a mentor and friend for both students and athletes. Jodee is more than an incredible coach. It is not just the team cohesiveness and skills that she improves -- she really, truly cares about each individual player. She loves volleyball and she loves her teams -- it is where her heart is and it's what she lives for.

Hundreds of students that Jodee taught and coached know that she is a great person and would do anything to help her players and students, whether their problems are personal, school-related, or sports-related. If Jodee leaves as a result of this one season and the way she has been treated, we will lose a great deal of respect for the school that has allowed for this to happen.

Any problems Jodee had this past year should be viewed in light of her long, successful coaching career and the hundreds of Franklin volleyball alums, students, athletes, and friends that love her and will vouch for her incredible coaching ability and caring attitude. We believe that Jodee's career as a whole should be taken into account when making this decision and it should not be solely based on this past season. We, the alumni and friends of the school, demand that you reconsider your decision and rehire Jodee for the good of Franklin: it would not be the same without her.
