CN Rail is abandoning its railway from Joseph Howe Drive to Lakeside. HRM Council has the option to purchase this land, but must do so by March 6, 2008.
This is an exciting opportunity to convert rails to trails. You can walk, run, cycle, get out in a wheelchair or mobility scooter... eight kilometres to enjoy, and it\'ll link to existing trails all the way to St. Margaret\'s Bay.
Council needs to know people support this opportunity.
