   Comments: As responsible members of NCSU and CNR, I think we have a duty to question the long term validity of selling this forest. This is a teaching tool and an invaluable resource. If we truly are committed to responsibly using and protecting our precious natural resources. By selling Hoffman, we are showing that our policy and commitment to protecting these resources are contingent on how much we get payed for them. To so easily give up this teaching tool and working forest is quite a tragedy and frankly, it doesn't really represent the interests of the University...just it's pocketbook. Save Hoffman forest and preserve our ability to demonstrate our commitment to sustainable resource use please!
