105 jeff robinsonKeep this store open since they closed the St. Catherines office all together with out a NOTICE to us we do need a store from time to time who somewatt understands what our needs are THANK YOU very much
106 Jeff RobinsonI feel this is just another way for CNIB to cut costs for themselves with no regard to the blind and from my stand point unless you are newly blind or a child in school their is not a hole hell of lot of help for WABA's (well adjusted bilind adults) out their unless you call them and even then the service sucks most times Hamilton is one of the best office I have to say

109 Margaret SimonPeople with visual impairment are already at a disadvantage and must deal with difficulties fully-sighted people cannot even imagine. Closing the store will make their lives more difficult still. Please do NOT close the CNIB store in Winnipeg! Thank you for your compassion.

111 AnonymousThis action is going hurt the visually impaired on low incomes very much. The shipping alone will keep them from being able to use things that might make life a little safer and more reasonable to normal living. Taking into account that you must have put considerable study and time into this decision would you please reconsider or come up with a plan that would be more user friendly for those of us on fixed income. Thank you , Marsha Reitz
112 AnonymousThis proposed move of the CNIB store from Winnipeg to Toronto would seem absolutely absurd. Aws Winnipeg is practically the center of this Country of Canada. It is my hope that common sense will once again prevail, and that the store will remain in Winipeg, as it now is

118 Denise AllardI think that closing the store is absolutely rediculus! This move is a prime example of how CNIB never really cared about its clients. In fact this shows that another non-profit organization is simply going administrative. On paper the CNIB looks good. I think its time for an administrative over hall. Let's get people in there who are movers, and shakers instead of dead beats. GET RID OF THE DEAD WOOD!!! In other words, people who are not afraid to serve the clients, not make themselves look good on paper. Let's get people in there who look good both in person, and on paper. If there are already movers, and shakers, keep them there. PLEASE!!! GET RID OF THE DEAD WOOD!!!
119 AnonymousIt is not only the cut back in the services of the store but also the direct service staffff. The cnib is going to the way of a call center, in the future new referrals will have an intake done over the telephone from Toronto and Toronto will set up appointments after the short telephone assessment.

126 Chelsea BussoliI strongly feel that if you close the CNIB store, you will be doing a great disservice to the visually impaired who need and benefit from it.

131 John and Rose HayTO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN, When we use to visit C.N.I.B., IF you needed an item it was very easy to pick-up at the Tech Aids Store. Now if you require something, you either have to phone the 1800 No. or order On-line, for which the customer always has to pay a Service & Handling Carge. Servive for Clients -- BULL SHIT

133 AnonymousMy son who is diabetic has recently lost his sight in one eye and the other is suffering from diabetic retinopathy. We would like the store in Wpg. to remain open. I think it is very, very important for people to be able to go into the store and look at or be shown how the products work. Doing it online is very hard for sighted people, never mind those who have problems.
134 Curtis HainsworthIf the CNIB closes the store, I hope they are willing to pick up the tab or waive all the shipping and handling fees that the customers will incure. It is not fair for these individuals to have to pay more for shipping fees than the actual price of the item they are purchasing.
135 tony bowersi am british but have to agree that services to us blind no matter what nation should be kept up to standard for now and for the future,i am busy fighting my own petition ,2many restrictions to do with the resale of jfw ,would apprecieate support from you guys. ipetitions.com/petition/123restrictions this is another fight against unfair treatment of blind users.good luck guys and hope it works out for you.

140 ron konnerthDo not close the store. there are not enough services for the blind as it is now. You should be expanding it and giving education to the blind and their families, concerning all the new technologies out there.

144 Rezvarn AtchaThe store should be excessable to the clients of the CNIb in their local office. It is not excessable the way it is now. I like to be able to feel the products that I may purchase before I purchase them.

146 AnonymousI have a teenage blind child, and the CNIB has provided us with next to no services. I tell my friends and family to give their donation dollars elsewhere as the CNIB is a "joke"! (what exactly do they DO anyhow)? Services should come through the government, not from a non-profit org. We are all left without the support/services/and access to equipment we need.
