Frank Finn, Fred Finn BranchI think this whole affair was handled vey badly by Comhaltas HQ. Natural justice was not afforded to the Clontarf Branch in so far as they were not allowed to appeall their dissolution
AnonymousShameful. Shows everyone how manipulative and self-seeking those who have had too much power for too long can be. Don't think this hasn't been noticed by the public. Return CLASAC to those who have worked for it in good faith. Now.

Barry FinnI am a memeber of the Boston (USA) Hanifin-Cooley branch & highly disapprove of the dissolution of the Clontarf Branch of Comhaltas Ceolteoiri Éireann
AnonymousI agreed with this petition.
Michael MohanI agree with the petition.

maggie boyleI was a member of West London CCE, the branch unjustly expelled in 1979 for 'bringing the organisation into disrepute' by asking the executive to adhere to its constitution! The substitute West London branch held "50th Anniversary" celebrations last year. Here's hoping that a similar whitewash does not occur in Clontarf.
AnonymousHeadquarters have shown exactly how much they care about the community they are supposed to be serving with this disgraceful and greedy action. Why should we ever trust them again? This is a betrayal of everything they're supposed to stand for.

martin farrellAm a member of CCE West london(this branch was dissolved in 1979...am not sure as to how it got itself reconstituted. The only information I have seen as regards the Clasac issue is a copy of a press release (1st April) issued by HQ and received by this, and presumably, by other branches. It contains no information of any worth for us as the general membership as to the rights of your case. In sum an insult to all at the grassroutes of CCE. There will have to be changes at HQ and heads must roll. I shall be writing to my local branch expressing my views and asking them to lend you support. I should think it ironical and a bit embarrassing for West London to be dissolved for the 2nd time !!

anne conwayGood to see a petition has been established. Anyone supporting justice and fairplay should sign this petition. Any organization that is entrusted with large large amounts of public funds must be accountable and act in a democratic manner., which to date CCE has clearly not been doing wth regard to the unjust dissolution of the Clontarf branch of CCE

Niamh O'ConnorI think the handling of this issue was disgraceful and reflected very badly on Comhaltas.Surely an organisation like ours should be seen to uphold basic democratic process.
Fionán O'ConnellOn behalf of my family, I wish to object in the strongest way possible to the efforts of Comhaltas to dissolve our Clontarf branch.
AnonymousI think that the allegation of financial irregularities laid against the branch is a disgrace as it attempts to slur the executive of the branch. Rescind the decision immediately and re-instate the reel Clontarf comhaltas.
George HendersonI give unconditional support to your campaign.
Veronica CoburnI am aware of the work and dedication of the Clontarf Branch of CCE for many years in fundraising for Clasac. Their dissolution and exclusion seems excessive. Their request for an independent arbitrator seems reasonable and sensible.
Margaret Wilson
Geraldine GrindleyThis is a ridiculous situation - it could be resolved by independent mediation. No voluntary organisation should find itself in this position.
