The tendering of Support Services in Edinburgh MUST not be allowed to go head, not now, not ever. Individuals should have a right and a choice to choose whoever they want to provide the care and support they require, based on individuality and individual need. What helps one person does not mean it is right for another. By having a varied choice where charitable organisations work together with private and council support services you keep a good, professional and competent workforce working in speciality areas of knowledge.

  • 18th Feb 2009 - Evening News states that the mass switch to direct payments puts tendering in jeopardy.  Not really surprising, uptake on DP has been phenomenal and is still continuing!  This petition will still be sent for Jan meeting as nothing concrete will be decided until then anyway.  Keep signing!!!!!!!!!!

  • 19th Jan 2010 - Review decision on Thurs 21st delayed!!! (Edinbrugh Evening News)
