Step It Up, KC: Please tell Congress to cut carbon emissions 80% by 2050!

Dear Kansas City metropolitan area elected leaders and officials, I hereby request that you sign the following pledge in person or via mail on April 14, 2007 at the Kansas City Step It Up Climate Action Day event: "I pledge to support policies that will promote cutting Carbon Dioxide emissions by 80% by 2050 from present levels throughout the Kansas City metropolitan area." The Kansas City Climate Action Network is a group of concerned citizens, as well as a collaboration of local non-profit organizations, small businesses and faith organizations. We come from a wide variety of backgrounds and political affiliations. We organized this year to plan the April 14 Climate Action Day event in the Kansas City Area. After April 14, we plan to continue recording the Kansas City area\'s climate action initiatives and progress.
