PLEASE TAKE A FEW MOMENTS TO READ FULLY

On Dec 2nd 2011, a community of experts composed of scientists and philosophers, engineers and academic scholars and a plethora of specialists in other related fields met in South Africa to continue discussions on what actions should be pursued to combat climate change.
We, as a civilization have put our faith and trust in these experts to continually develop new insightful methods to help our societies progress. However neither Stephen Hawking nor Albert Einstein would suggest that a decision of this magnitude be left in the hands of very select few.
For those who refuse to believe: Note: these experts are not asking IF climate change is happening, they asking what can we do to stop, even reverse it. They believe governments will not be able to act soon enough. (And they may be accurate).
The CIA, as well as a number of other government and intelligence gathering agencies from around the world refuse to declassify files they have composed on climate change.
The issue of a climate that is experiencing change concerns every man, woman and child on Earth. For instance, the group of experts have proposed radical, untested methods and processes. One such method is the Geo-engineering of incoming UV rays. The speculation is that if we stop even a small amount of those rays before they enter our atmosphere, we can suspend the warming of the planet.
We should at very least have access to the proper research, findings and information, so that we to can be involved in the dialogue on what actions the global community will pursue. This is not one of those historical situations that can be left to the experts, or the politicians.
The ultimate decisions on how to combat climate change will surely affect every single person either living or to live. This is a decision we have to make as a global community. Capitalist or Communist, Democratic or Dictator, Asian, African or Westerner, matters not.
If you live on this planet, you should have a vote in the future direction of our planet. If we are wrong than we will be wrong together, if we are right, we will be right together. But after all is said and done, fingering pointing and blame shifting will count for nothing.

This is OUR planet. This is OUR home....This is OUR future.

Our Minimum goal is to get 500 Million signatures, or roughly 1/14th of the entire human population. Ultimately we would like 1.2 Billion people to sign this petition (1 out of 6 people now living on Earth). This petition will be used in exactly 1 year (Dec 1st 2012) in an official capacity to lobby governments and multinational institutions around the world to access information and par-take in the coming decisions that will affect our global village.
