Absolute radio have a history of disrespect and bias towards Cliff Richard and The Shadows, yet as John Lennon is quoted, I paraphrase; ' Their was no British rock and roll before 'Move it' by Cliff Richard and the Shadows'! These talented artists went onto have many more hits in the 50's and 60' but Absolute are refusing to play their songs on their new, 'Absolute 60's' station, this may cost them in advertising revenue as the 'grey pound' is a big supporter of older rock and roll bands, yet fans of all ages are dismayed by the arrogance and ignorance of Absolute Radio. The petition asks for all 6o's artists who had hits to be played, or it will not be a genuine, 60's radio station!
